A DEEPER RELATIONSHIP LEADING TO BIGGER RATINGS.

Challenge:TV viewers are appointment watchers, floating from one TV show to another. Desiring a deeper relationship with it’s viewers, Univision sought to create a Premium Mobile program that involved the viewer – and generated increased revenue.

Solution: Based on the network’s most popular entertainment talk show, Rip Road created the ‘El Gordo y La Flaca’ Exclusive Mobile Club – Gordo Chismes. The idea was to improve and engage the show’s TV viewer. Participants paid $3.99 a month to belong to this exclusive mobile club and were invited to interact with the TV host through several mobile applications made possible by our interactive mobile technology platform.

Interactive Polls captured viewer interest in on-air activities and helped shape later episodes. Alerts notified viewers of the host’s favorite things to do. Subscribers got exclusive show updates, Celebrity Guest gossip and were let in on show secrets. This also enabled Univision to deliver exclusive content – candid images and engaging audio clips from each episode – to the viewers.
